Multi Axis Laser Welding System

The Hyperion 8RF multi axis laser welding system consists of a 6-axis robot integrated with a 2-station tilt-and-turn manipulator. At the end of the robot arm is a laser head for welding (the system can be adapted easily for laser cutting also).

Expert at integrating robots, lasers and workpiece handling, the design of the tooling and programming of the profile to be welded is carried out by highly experienced Cyan Tec specialists, to customise the solution to suit the customer component.

Cyan Tec is capable of specifying the robot and fibre laser source suitable for the application under consideration, and can work with the preferences of the customer where a particular robot supplier or laser source supplier is preferred.

Enclosed within a Class 1 safety enclosure, the system complies with all safety norms.  The operator loads and unloads the manipulator from outside the enclosure and is protected by a safety light curtain.

The 2 axis tilt-and-turn is integrated into the robot controller thus allowing for 8 axes of motion. This allows for more efficient movements of the 6-axis robot to cope with square or round corners without requiring rapid movement of the robot axes.
