Single Robot Laser Cutting Machine
The Hyperion RRTS14CC is a standard robot laser cutting machine which enables the laser cutting of components within a laser safety enclosure, the parts being loaded and unloaded via a rotary indexer which presents the parts to an operator. Parts which are on the inside of the enclosure can be processed by laser cutting during the unload and load cycle.
Designed for a static laser cutting head within the enclosure, a 6-axis robot picks up the component and presents it for laser cutting (more than one component may be loaded on the indexer simultaneously). The robot moves the component under the laser cutting head to achieve the desired cutting profile. This system can be used for the cutting and trimming of automotive interiors or similar parts. Depending on the laser power and wavelength, different materials including fabrics, plastics, metals and composites may be cut by laser.
