Single Robot Laser Welding System – Dual Slide Input
The Hyperion 8LG is a standard robot laser welding machine which is fitted with dual slide input for loading and unloading components to be welded. The system is ideal for laser welding parts which the operator loads in alternate tooling nests, fitted onto shuttle tables which pass the parts into and out of the working area. Once the operator has loaded the parts the robot carries out the laser welding inside the Class 1 safety enclosure which protects the operator from the laser beam and robot motion. Fitted with a focus head from a solid state fibre laser, or whichever laser source suits the application, the system could also be configured for cutting. Additional component fixturing, machine vision and automation can be offered to enhance the capability of the standard system.
