Flatbed Composite Laser Cutting System
The Hyperion 3GFC is a standard flatbed laser cutting machine which is designed for the high speed profiling of composite materials. It is suitable for laser cutting of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Plastic (CFRP), PEEK and other composite materials with excellent edge quality and reduced kerf width. A combination of galvo scanning with XY linear motors allows both high speed motion of the laser beam over the material and the capability to accurately produce parts from a large sheet size.
Fitted with a solid state fibre laser, the system is compact, efficient, reliable and economic. Additional component fixturing, machine vision, nesting software and automation can be offered to enhance the capability of the standard system. Cyan Tec works with all the major laser source suppliers and chooses the laser source based on application requirements and customer preference.
Using servo motor technology with high precision ballscrews, the system is capable of combining very high speed cutting with high acceleration and contouring accuracy. Motion system layout allows a combination of maximum cutting area with minimum machine footprint – the compact laser source being built in to the machine frame.
